Red snapper season is shaping up to be a big one for 2026, and Russell’s Coastal Fishing is ready to help you make the most of it! Beginning May 22, Alabama’s red snapper season is open 7 days a week for state-licensed charter boats, giving families, vacationers, and local anglers more flexibility than last year’s weekend-only schedule. If you’re visiting Gulf Shores or Orange Beach and want to bring home one of the Gulf’s most popular reef fish, now is the time to start planning your trip.

Our 2026 red snapper fishing trips start at $1,000 for the first two people, with each additional guest only $50 more. These trips are a great option for small groups, couples, families, and vacationers who want a memorable Alabama fishing charter without booking a huge offshore boat. We fish within 9 miles of shore or less, and because safety always comes first, these trips are only available when the weather and water conditions are calm enough for the ride.

We’re also offering combination red snapper and shark fishing trips for the same starting price, giving you the chance to target two exciting Gulf Coast favorites in one trip!

Alabama’s 2026 red snapper season begins Friday, May 22, 2026, for state-licensed charter vessel anglers. The season is scheduled to be open 7 days a week until the state quota is met or the season otherwise closes.

Alabama has opened the 2026 season 7 days a week, but actual charter availability depends on the captain’s schedule, open dates, and safe weather conditions.  Contact Russell's Coastal Fishing for information about specific dates.

Our red snapper trips start at $1,000 for the first two people. Each additional person is just $50 more.

Russell’s Coastal Fishing runs these trips 9 miles or less from shore, and only when the weather is calm enough for a safe, comfortable trip.

Our fishing charters depart the Flora Bama Marina located at 29603 Perdido Beach Blvd. in Orange Beach, Alabama. Our location in Orange Beach allows us to provide our clients with some of the best inshore fishing the Gulf Coast has to offer. Our vessel, the Miss Caymen is a 26' Angler Panga. Our Inshore Fishing Charters in Orange Beach go up to three nautical miles off the beaches of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Fishing Charters are private 6 passengers or less.
